At our company, we employ leading specialists to ensure you are thoroughly informed when choosing our double glazed windows and doors, tailored to meet your exact needs. We value innovation and continuously evolve to maintain our industry leadership. Ensuring your satisfaction is crucial to us, and we guarantee our windows and doors can endure even the most severe conditions due to the high-quality materials we use.
Our team consists of knowledgeable and innovative technicians known for solving problems that others cannot handle. Expect seamless design, manufacture, and installation processes, whether for new constructions or renovations.
We encourage discussions about your projects to foresee potential issues and devise solutions, saving you time, money, and stress. Although we offer our double glazed windows and doors on a supply-only basis, professional installation by qualified technicians is recommended to ensure they perform optimally in terms of energy efficiency and sound insulation. We advise against DIY installations as they can compromise the quality and effectiveness of our products.
In cases of incorrect installation, we are adept at making necessary corrections, even if the products are from competitors, though this service is chargeable. We also provide consultancy for builders unfamiliar with installing our uPVC double glazed windows. While we offer helpful installation tips, these are based on our extensive experience and should be treated as advice rather than a comprehensive guide, given the unpredictability of installation challenges.
Single Brick
Before starting, confirm the size, style, and position of your new double glazed window against your order. A perfectly installed window is ineffective if it is upside-down or meant for another room. UPVC windows are not designed to be loadbearing.
Clading
We recommend that energy efficient windows and double glazed doors be installed and glazed by qualified technicians or builders. However, we receive many requests from DIY enthusiasts for supply-only options.
Measuring You Window
Draw a rough sketch of your house and number each window you plan to replace, then measure each one individually. Fixed panels separated by beams or brickwork are treated as separate double glazed window panels and priced accordingly.
Secondary Windows
Secondary glazing requires a minimum 50mm gap from the existing windows to the wall or a windowsill with at least 50mm of wall space. If unsure, you can send us photos or arrange a free consultation with our surveyor.
Window Replacement
Begin by removing the old window glass and frame. For small aluminum windows, you might remove the sash with the glass intact. Clean the aperture thoroughly and fill any cavities with aluminum or hardwood to create a secure base for the new window.
Window Sealing
Many believe all silicone gels are identical, but we have found their properties and suitability vary significantly. Silicone descriptions often lack details on the correct grade and type for specific applications, leading to performance variability.
Double Brick
While we provide double glazed windows and doors on a supply-only basis for DIY enthusiasts, we have found that self-installation or work by independent tradespeople can sometimes compromise the quality of our products.
New Construction
Attach glass packers with glue or silicon at about one-third the height of the glass pane, using suction cups to adjust its position as needed. Secure the glass by tapping the surrounding glazing bead or strips with a hammer.
