Delivery

There is always room for those who can be relied upon to delivery the goods when they say they will.

You can now easily and safely get a quote, place an order, purchase double glazed windows, doors and products and check the delivery schedule through our new online service. Any personal information given will be used only by us to process your order. Please ensure you specify the delivery address if different to your residential address.

We require a 40% deposit with a written signed order giving full details (sketches and all relevant dimensions in mm) of the double glazed items. Double Glazed Windows and Doors will not start the manufacture of your double glazed windows, until payment is received. If you require double glazed products urgently, please make the deposit payment promptly. We try to accommodate you as much as possible, however we will not be able to manufacture your order of double glazed windows and doors without the 40% deposit. Confirmation of your order will be forwarded to you once the 40% deposit is received. Alternatively, clients can order through our re-sellers at retail prices on their payment terms.

Our schedule of delivery for most double glazed windows and doors allows for us to take 3-6 weeks to manufacture utilizing mass production. The products are delivered without glass and handles, however, they already contain internal hardware pieces.

Glass normally arrives between 1-4 business days later. Double Glazed Windows and Doors glass supplier is a Sydney based company and is also flexible if delivery of glass is required later than this in order to avoid accidental breakage at construction site.

The remaining window and door hardware such as handles can be fitted during installation or after. The windows can also be adjusted for air and water tightness according to requirements.

If urgent double glazing items are identified, we can meet these demands earlier, however, our experience suggests that after the urgent items are delivered they may not be installed for a few weeks due to builder's change of priorities. Please note that ordering urgent items changes our production schedule and may create bottlenecks at our productions facility, thereby delaying the remaining items. Double Glazed Windows and Doors urge architects, customers and builders to refrain from requesting each item to be manufactured urgently, and only doing so with genuinely urgent items. Extraordinary architecturally specified windows and doors may also be manufactured separately from the rest of the order due to unusual or high precision requirements, please consult us so we can plan and manufacture the double glazed products on time.

In order to keep our costs and our prices low, we can operate a multi-drop delivery system and are not able to give a delivery time until all customers participating in the system are contacted. Delivery turnaround for Double Glazed Windows and Doors is typically 10 - 15 business days, however, you may contact our estimators or customer service for an update on your order.

We deliver the double glazed products to your kerbside. Please ensure that someone is available all day, on the day of delivery who is capable of assisting the driver in unloading and checking the goods when they arrive.

Please note that if the wrong address is specified or there is no-one authorised in attendance to take physical delivery of the windows and doors or glass, and a re-delivery is required, we may charge you a fee equal to the original delivery fee.

Sizes and Dimentions

The total cost of delivery is directly related to the sizes and number of double glazing items in your order. If any of your double glazed windows or doors exceed a certain level in either height or width, we must use a bigger truck, which will raise the cost of delivery, even if you have only a single double glzing item. The first delivery level is 4m wide; the second delivery level is 6m wide. Of course, we always stack the items in a most efficient way to save space.   For supplementary material on double glazed sizes and dimentions click here

Handling and Storage

After the double glazed windows are delivered to your home or the construction site, ideally they should be installed as soon as possible, to minimise the risk of accidental damage. However, we understand that this may not be practical if there are other renovation or construction work being completed - in this case, it is best to store the double glazed window/ door frames and glass separately and in an area with limited access, so that the upvc window frames and insulated glass units experience the least movement possible.   A complete guide for double glazed handling and storage can be found here

Sealing

Many people have the impression that all silicone gels on the market are the same, but we have found that their properties and, therefore, suitability varies dramatically. Generally, the descriptions of silicone offer little information as to the correct grade and type for a given application, and because of performance variability, there is no one type of silicone sealant that should be used for everything. Using the incorrect silicone or improper use may cause joint failure, contamination of surfaces because of poor application, excessive movement in the sealed joint.   Get the answers on your questions on double glazed sealing on this page
